Milnrow Parish Church Of England Primary School

Theologically Rooted Vision

Our school theologically rooted statement is ‘All things are possible for those who believe’.

In our Church of England Primary School, the theologically rooted statement “All things are possible for those who believe” underpins the daily life of every child. It reflects Jesus’ words in Scripture and reminds us that faith, perseverance, and trust can transform even the most ordinary moments into opportunities for growth.

  • Belief in God: Children are encouraged to know that God is with them in every part of their school day. Through prayer, worship, and reflection, they learn that God’s love and guidance provide strength and courage when facing challenges, whether in the classroom, on the playground, or at home.
  • Belief in self: Children are nurtured to understand that they are created in God’s image, each uniquely gifted and precious. They are taught to value themselves, to be resilient, and to grow in confidence, knowing that with faith and determination they can flourish.
  • Belief in abilities and capabilities: Every child is encouraged to persevere with tasks that may seem difficult at first, learning that effort and practice open new possibilities. They are supported in recognising their talents and skills, whether academic, creative, or practical, and in celebrating the achievements of others.
  • Belief in knowledge and learning: Children are inspired to be curious and open to new learning. They are guided to see knowledge not just as information, but as a gift that enables them to make wise choices and contribute positively to the world around them.

Our theologically rooted statement “All things are possible for those who believe” is at the heart of our school motto: Learn, Achieve, Love, Believe. Together they shape our vision for every child and adult in our school community.

  • Learn
Children are encouraged to be curious, creative, and resilient learners. They know that learning is a gift from God and that by asking questions and seeking truth they grow in wisdom. They understand that learning is more than facts – it is about discovering the world God has made and how we can live well in it.
  • Achieve
We believe every child is made in God’s image, with their own gifts and potential. Achievement is celebrated in all its forms – academically, artistically, spiritually, socially, and personally. We encourage children to persevere and use their abilities so they can flourish, believing in themselves and in the support of others.
  • Love
Our daily school life is rooted in the Christian value of love. Following Jesus’ example, children learn to care for one another, show kindness, and build strong friendships. Love underpins respect, justice, and compassion, shaping how we live together as a community.
  • Believe
We help children to grow in belief – in God, in themselves, and in their abilities. They learn that belief gives them courage and confidence to face challenges, and that faith in God offers hope and strength in every part of life.
